Who’s On Your Support Team?

July 30th, 2008

Okay, so you’re committed to this Work Less, Make More idea. You think it sounds like the life you want to live. Your first question is probably, "Where do I start?"

You start by looking at who is in your life right now.

In order for you to redesign how you operate, you must consciously decide who’s on your support team and who’s on your sabotage team. The support team is full of the people in your life who want you to succeed. They want you to be happy, fulfilled, and passionate about living. And they are willing to help you create whatever kind of life you want to create.

Do you have a coach?

April 18th, 2008

Have you noticed?

The blog is lighting up like Times Square on New Year’s Eve! Plus, my inbox is overflowing. People are even calling our office in unprecedented numbers.

The new Work Less, Make More Program is the reason.

I’ve honestly never seen anything like this. It seems like hundreds of people have questions—important questions about the program—far more than with any other product or program we’ve created.

I found the video…

April 16th, 2008

Before her life was tragically cut short in 2001, Jennifer White revealed some of the most potent success principles known to man in various events around the country. Many of these presentations were recorded on video, with the hope that they could be used later to impact the lives of even more people. Unfortunately, those recordings disappeared.

A little more than a month ago, I was searching through some boxes that I had received from Jennifer’s husband Steve. Imagine my surprise when I saw a single, plain DVD in a clear yellow CD jewel case. In blue Sharpie pen were the words “Jen – Luncheon Speech.”

The response to the American Dream Manifesto has been incredible. The emails flooding my inbox have been truly heartwarming…and some of you have even posted comments on the blog.

Every single message I receive means a lot to me. Hopefully you realize by now how passionate I am about helping people get out of the “rat race”, so they can live the life they are meant to be living.

With all the buzz and excitement growing from the release of my American Dream Manifesto, I thought I’d do something even more exciting…

Lunch with Warren Buffett

July 3rd, 2007

Last week, Warren Buffett held his annual charity auction on eBay. Two investors topped the other pre-qualified bidders with a winning bid of $650,100. The winners and five of their guests will join Mr. Buffett for lunch at the Smith & Wollensky steakhouse in New York City. The auction benefits the Glide Foundation, which provides social services to the poor and homeless in San Francisco.

How cool would that be? To be able to ask Warren Buffett your burning questions about investing, or philanthropy, or life?

Quit Working on Vacation

June 25th, 2007

Over the weekend, I wrote about the importance of taking vacations. Whether long or short, I’ve always been a huge advocate of vacations, for the reasons I mentioned in the blog entry Vacations a Thing of the Past?

One thing I realized is that lots of people are taking “pseudo time off.” What that means is, even though they’ve traveled away from home, they will be checking their email, doing work and calling into the office much of the time they’re away.

Vacations a Thing of the Past?

June 23rd, 2007

“A vacation is having nothing to do, and all day to do it in.”

I’m writing this from Denver, Colorado. I’m taking a four-day mini-vacation, which I do at least four times per year. I like to get away on a quarterly basis, which helps me to rejuvenate. Plus, it’s fun!

There’s been a lot of attention in the media lately about vacations. And the stories are disturbing. Fewer people are taking vacations, due to increased work demands, and the difficulty of dual-income couples to coordinate vacation schedules.
